This research explores innovative green recycling pathways for thermoset polyurethane foams, which are traditionally considered non-recyclable due to their cross-linked network structure. By developing novel chemical depolymerization techniques using mild conditions and green solvents, we enable the recovery of high-quality polyol intermediates that can be directly reused in new foam production, closing the loop for industrial plastics.
